Paying zakat al fitr with money, according to Shafi'iyyah not allowed, while according to Hanafiyyah allowed.
Important Note: Based on the opinion which permits the payment of zakat al fitr with money (ie only Hanafiyah) then according to this circle, concerning the amount of money spent is adjusted value / price of food ingredients which manshush (mentioned explicitly in the hadith) as zakat al fitr, namely:
1 sho 'tamr / date, or
1 sho 'tamr / date, or
1 sho 'wheat sya'ir, or
½ sho 'zabib / grapes, or
½ sho 'wheat burr
All of which refers to the value of the price when it starts exposed to the burden of liability (waqtul wujub).
ZAKAT AL FITR WITH MONEY AND SIZE SHO '
The three madhhabs of thought agree that there should be no zakat al fitr with money. The Hanafab hanafi allows zakat al fitr with money, but it must be worth one sho of wheat, dates, or dry grapes (the types of fitr listed in the hadith, not worth a sho 'staple food). There are opinions from the Malikiyah who allow zakat al fitr with money (worth one sho 'staple food) but makruh.
Keep in mind, in general people judge mud and sho 'with the size of the specific weight of a good. This is less precise given that the size of mud and sho 'is dose.
The true size of mud and sho 'it is to use volume.
~ one mud version of Shafi'i, Imam Ahmad, Imam Malik = 0.766 lt / cube measuring approximately 9.2 cm.

When converted into the form of specific gravity, the result may differ depending on the moisture content of the object we weigh. KH. Ma'shum bin Ali Jombang once weighed the rice from the mud and sho 's doses that he had, and it was known that;
~ one mud mud of white rice = 679,79 gr.
~ one sho 'white rice = 2719,19 gr.
