Ethics for Giver and Zakah Receiver


 A. Ethics of Zakah Givers 
The person who will give the zakat should pay attention to the following: First, understand the purpose of zakat. The purpose of zakat there are three kinds; namely 
a) as a test for a person who claims to love Allah SWT by issuing the treasures that he loves, 
b) rid himself of the miserliness that can harm himself and 
c) to treasure the blessings of treasure. 
Second, keep secret in issuing zakat. This is so that he avoid the nature of riya 'and seek popularity. While openly giving zakat includes insult (indirectly) to the person of the recipient (in the eyes of others). And if the worry is suspected of not issuing zakat then should give some zakat to the poor that he does not care about by pulling it from the crowds openly, and the rest is given clandestinely. Thirdly, it does not damage its zakat by taking a lottery (manni) and hurt the recipient. Fourth, should look small and trivial gift to others. Fifth, choose the treasures he considers the most lawful, the best and most desirable as his zakat. Sixth, look for a clean recipient of the soul of the eight class. 

B. Ethics of Zakah Receivers 

Should the recipient of zakat have the following attitudes; First, understand that God obliges to give Zakat to him in order to make it sufficient for his interests and to make his interests only one whose interests merely seek the pleasure of God. Second, thank the giver, pray for and give idol to him, because the person who does not thank the neighbor is not thankful to God. Third, pay attention to what is advertised to him; if it is not from a lawful thing, then take it for granted. Fourth, avoid the happening of syubhat for himself by accepting the giving of zakat sufficiently, so do not accept the gift exceeds his needs. »
